Congressman Ed Markey says Massachusetts will lose 60,000 jobs and 127 million in research funding if spending cuts scheduled for the beginning of March actually take effect.  Markey says most of the jobs that would be lost are in defense-related areas, while the research funding cuts would hurt Massachusetts hard due to the heavy concentration of universities, hospitals and biotech companies.
