A Northampton man accused of attacking a woman in Easthampton has been involuntarily committed.  31 year old William Bower will spend six months at Bridgewater State Hospital.  In October, Bower allegedly broke a woman's nose and tried to rape her when she approached him on the street and asked if he needed help.  Police say the woman escaped by biting his finger.  Bower's lawyer argued against the commitment, telling the judge his client is perfectly fine when he's taking his meds.
