The City of Northampton DPW has declared a snow emergency. It remains in effect until canceled and may last more than one night. Please call 413-586-6969 for updated information.

The city will be towing tonight for vehicles parked on city streets.

Parking prohibited on all city streets and city parking lots from midnight to 6:00 am, except on Main St where parking is prohibited between 2:00 am and 7:00 am. The Armory St parking lot is open for use during snow emergencies except from 8:00 am to 10:00 am and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm to allow for plowing.

For general information regarding snow emergencies, please visit our website at www.northamptonma.gov/306/winter-storms. Please remember that residents and businesses are responsible for clearing sidewalks bordering their property.

The city also posts all snow emergencies and parking bans to its Facebook page (City of Northampton) and Twitter accounts (@northamptonma). Alerts are also prominently displayed on the www.northamptonma.gov website at the top of the page.
