Active Shooter Training Underway At UMass

Police at UMass Amherst are undergoing active shooter training. Dickinson Hall is being used because of its long hallways, many classrooms and multiple floors.  Police are using fake ammunition rounds that sound like real bullets but just leave crayon marks.  Active shooter training was developed in response to the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre.
