Bold Bobcat Roams Near Northampton School

(Northampton, MA) — A bobcat has been roaming the area near the Ryan Road Elementary School in Northampton. The bold cat has been seen by people in the neighborhood prowling around in broad daylight. Wildlife officials say bobcats are usually reclusive but will come out if there’s a good food supply. They’ll eat cats, chickens, rabbits, and other small animals. Ward 6 city councilor Marianne LaBarge tells the “Gazette” she hopes people don’t try to pet the cat thinking it’s a nice little kitty.
