Cadieux Wins Easthampton Mayor Race, Tacy Out In Northampton

(Easthampton, MA) – For the first time ever, Easthampton will have a mayor other than Mike Tautznik. His right-hgand in the mayor’s office, Karen Cadieux has won the mayor’s seat, beating three other candidates.  Cadieux won 59 percent of the vote. Another note from Easthampton…embattled City Councilor Donald Cykowski did not win re-election and has been ousted from the council.

(Northampton, MA) – Northampton Mayor David Narkewicz had no opposition yesterday. In the city council races, Ward 7 councilor Gene Tacy has been unseated by newcomer Alisa Klein. Other new councilors are Ryan O’Donnell in Ward 3 and Gina-Louise Sciarra in Ward 4, who both ran unopposed for vacant seats. Ward 2 councilor Paul Spector won re-election, as did Ward six’s Marianne LaBarge.  At-large Northampton councilors Bill Dwight and Jesse Adams also won re-election.
