Cooley Dickinson Nurse Denies Assault Charge

A nurse at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton has pleaded not guilty to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.  Thursday night police were called to the ER to help with a trespasser.  They found an Easthampton man yelling and bleeding.  A witness said 28-year old Steven Coughlin of Florence pushed the man into a chair and knocked his head against a sink.  Coughlin is due back in court September 11th.
