Cooley Dickinson Reconsiders Closing Pediatric Unit

(Northampton, MA) –¬†Cooley Dickinson Hospital is rethinking a decision to close its pediatric unit. Hospital officials are looking to affiliate Mass General for some guidance after pediatricians on staff objected to the move. One alternative to closing the unit is keeping a short-term pediatric stay unit for children and teens. A meeting will be held Wednesday with doctors, nurses and hospital leaders to discuss restructuring pediatric services
