Crashes In The Snow In Hatfield and Mass Pike

(Hatfield, MA) –Two people were injured on a snowy Tuesday night in a head on collision in Hatfield. Police say two people were taken to a hospital with minor injuries after a head on collision on West Street. Both lanes were re-opened after Hatfield Police investigated and the area was cleared. A tow truck was called to remove the cars.

The MassPike in Chicopee is flowing again after a massive backup last night. Around 8:20 p.m. a tractor-trailer jackknifed, and was hit by another eighteen-wheeler. No one was hurt, but it took an hour for heavy equipment to clear the scene. Road conditions were treacherous on account of the snow, and multiple spinouts were reported across the state.
