(Springfield, MA) — The condition of a small poodle-mix found wrapped in a trash bag at a Springfield demolition site has improved considerably. The emaciated pooch found Tuesday morning was treated by a Northampton veterinarian and released to the Dakin Animal Shelter. She’s been given the name “Buffy.” Staffers say Buffy was horribly abused, is still fearful, and not yet ready for adoption.
