Flour Truck Flips on Exit 24 Off-Ramp

The driver of a tractor-trailer that crashed on the I-91 exit 24 off-ramp in Whately is recovering from his injuries at the hospital.  The 18 wheeler went over a guardrail and flipped upside down Monday around 2:30 a.m.  The truck was carrying large bags of flour which burst open upon impact.  The driver had to be rescued from the cab.  His dog also escaped serious injury.  The exit was closed for several hours after the crash but is now re-opened.
