Greenfield To Consider Police Taser Use

(Greenfield, MA) – The use of Tasers by the Greenfield Police Department will be the focus of a meeting tonight of the town’s Human Rights Commission. Current board member Hassan Elzenay-knee will talk about his experiences being Tased by police during an incident at a law office in 2011. Elzenay-knee says police used the taser to calm him down during an extreme panic attack, after which he filed a complaint against the department for unwarranted use of force. He said he decided to make the presentation after his complaints to the mayor and public safety commission fell on deaf ears.
