Greenfield Virtual School appoints new board members

The first five members of the governing board of Greenfield’s new Commonwealth Virtual School have been appointed. Former mayoral candidate Ed Berlin, former town councilor Chris Joseph, internet strategist Michael Phillips, former Stoneleigh Burnham head of school Paul Bassett and parent Christina Powell were appointed to the board by a school innovation subcommittee. Two of the finalists for the board withdrew from consideration just hours before last night’s meeting.
