Hadley Fire Started In Laundromat

(Hadley, MA) — Officials now believe Sunday night’s shopping-center fire on Route Nine in Hadley started in the Hadley Coin-Op Laundromat. The Hadley Fire Department says people using the laundromat Sunday should step forward and claim their clothes. They say that will help in their investigation. The massive fire which started around 7:40 p.m. ripped through the one-story wood-frame strip mall, destroying 15 businesses.
