Kidnapping Charges result from Northampton crash

(Northampton, MA) – A Saturday car crash in Northampton has resulted in kidnapping charges for a Springfield man. Northampton Police say Reyes Morales-Gonzalez was arrested Saturday morning when his car crashed on Pleasant Street. The accident was triggered by a woman who allegedly forced the car off the road in an attempt to escape from being held against her will. Morales-Gonzalez was arraigned on mutliple charges, including OUI and kidnapping.
