Lawmakers Hear Student Loan Debt Stories

(Holyoke, MA) — Holyoke state rep Aaron Vega and some of his State House colleagues were at HCC Monday for a public hearing on student loan debt. Members of the Joint Committee on Higher Education listened as students told their stories. Many said they were graduating with crippling debt into jobs that barely support their basic needs. The Subcommittee on Student Loan Debt is gathering ideas and input in their tour across the state.
