(Holyoke, MA) — Holyoke state rep Aaron Vega and some of his State House colleagues were at HCC Monday for a public hearing on student loan debt. Members of the Joint Committee on Higher Education listened as students told their stories. Many said they were graduating with crippling debt into jobs that barely support their basic needs. The Subcommittee on Student Loan Debt is gathering ideas and input in their tour across the state.
Deerfield Police pulled over the woman in the Mercedes after receiving a report that someone was illegally harvesting apples from trees at Clarkdale Fruit Farm.
It happened around one Thursday morning between Florence Road and Highland Avenue. The road did not reopen until around two that afternoon. It was the second time in 24 hours that the road was forced to close.
