Morse Challenges Stanek To Schools Debate

(Holyoke, MA) — Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse has challenged his political rival Jeff Stanek to a debate on education issues. Morse issued the challenge after Stanek questioned Morse’s role as chairman of the school committee. Stanek said running the schools should be left to quote “professionals and educators.” Morse says Stanek’s “hands-off approach” to education won’t work in the city. Stanek tells the “Springfield Republican” he would welcome a debate.
