Narkewicz Blasts GOP House For Shutdown

(Northampton, MA) — Northampton Mayor David Narkewicz is sounding off about the federal government shutdown, calling it a “cheap political stunt” by House Republicans. On his Facebook page, Narkewicz says he was a furloughed federal employee back when Congress shut down the government 17 years ago. Narkewicz says The Affordable Care Act is the law of our land, and that the shutdown serves only to punish federal workers, waste tax dollars, and damage our economy.
