No Charges In Fatal Amherst Bike Crash

(Amherst, MA) — No charges will be filed against a truck driver who hit and killed a 22-year-old bicyclist in Amherst last May. Livingston Pangburn was descending Route 9 when he hit a box truck turning left onto the Amherst College campus. Traffic was heavy, and Pangburn was passing vehicles on the right. The State Police collision team concluded that the driver could not have seen the cyclist in time to avoid the accident.
