Northampton Native Up For Top Violin Job

(Northampton, MA) — A violinist from Northampton may be in line for one of the nation’s top classical music jobs. Erin Keefe has made the short list of candidates for Concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic. The 33-year-old woman attended the Smith College Campus School and Williston Northampton. She’s currently concertmaster of the Minnesota Orchestra. Keefe will serve as guest concertmaster with the Phil three nights this week.
