(Amherst, MA) — A developer has filed preliminary plans for a controversial student housing development in Amherst. The project known as “The Retreat” would put 175 cottage-style units in a rural area of Cushman Village. Landmark Properties of Georgia submitted documents to the Planning Board this week. The project will have to undergo site plan review and get subdivision approval. A public hearing is tentatively scheduled for December 4th.
