(Northampton, MA) — Plans to build a community boathouse off Damon Road in Northampton are on hold pending the results of an archaeological survey of possible Native American artifacts. The boathouse would be located in the area behind River Run Condominiums and be part of the larger Connecticut River Greenway Project. The Army Corp of Engineers ordered the survey after a request from Massachusetts Indian Tribes.
