(Holyoke, MA) — It’s primary election day in the 2nd Hampden-and-Hampshire State Senate district. Voters in eleven communities including Holyoke, Westfield and Easthampton will vote in the race to fill former Senator Mike Knapik’s seat. Holyoke City Councilor David Bartley and Easthampton Mayor Mike Tautznik are competing for the Democratic nomination. On the GOP side, it’s State Rep Don Humason versus perennial candidate Michael Franco. Low voter turnout is expected.
