Private Colleges Pan UMass-Springfield Plan

Three private colleges are objecting to a plan by Umass Amherst to open a satellite campus in downtown Springfield.  Presidents of Springfield College, AIC, and Western New England University issued a joint statement warning UMass not to duplicate any of their programs.  UMass issued an RFP last week, looking to lease 25,000 square feet of downtown space for the proposed satellite campus.
