Murder suspect Cara Rintala will remain behind bars while she awaits a new trial. The Granby woman is accused of strangling her wife in 2010. Rintala’s murder trial in March ended with a deadlocked jury. She then appealed her bail denial to the state’s highest court. The SJC denied Rintala’s appeal on Thursday. A local court conference to schedule the new trial date will be held July 11th.
