Rintala Re-Trial Set To Begin In Northampton

(Northampton, MA) – A Granby woman accused of murdering her wife faces a retrial in the case today. Last March, Cara Rintala was tried for killing her wife Annamarie Cochrane Rintala. In 2010, Annamarie was found dead in the basement of the couple’s home. After more than 200 hours of court time, and four days of deliberation, the jury refused to continue so a mistrial was declared. Jury selection begins this morning at the Hampshire County courthouse.
