Scuffling Drug Dealer Sentenced To Prison

(Northampton, MA) — A Northampton drug dealer has been handed a two-to-three year state prison term. 28-year-old Casey Howard scuffled with a cop on the floor of Thornes Marketplace in January after being caught with drugs in the mens room. At one point Howard tried to grab the officer’s gun. Howard pleaded guilty last week to dealing marijuana and Suboxone and assault and battery on a police officer. He’s a graduate of Smith Vocational High School and a resident of Leeds.
