Smith College Swears In New President

(Northampton, MA) — Kathleen McCartney has been inaugurated as the 11th president of Smith College. Saturday’s ceremony at John M. Greene Hall capped two days of festivities, including seminars on the role of women in society. Dr. McCartney is an expert on early childhood development, and was most recently Dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
