Sox Broadcaster’s Son Arrested for Murder

The son of former Red Sox player and TV broadcaster Jerry Remy allegedly killed his girlfriend last night.  Jared Remy is charged with murder and domestic assault and battery.  Police responding to 911 calls found 27 year old Jennifer Martel with multiple stab wounds on the patio of the couple’s apartment in Waltham.  Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan says Remy was arrested at the scene.  Remy had been charged with assaulting Martel earlier in the week and was released.
