Promoting economic development is one way UMass is looking to partner with Amherst and other towns in the region. That’s according to Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy who spoke at Wednesday’s UMass community breakfast. Subbaswamy calls the 20 to 30 year strategic plan UMass and the town of Amherst will compete in the next few months, a positive and necessary step to building a community that will be the pride of the country.
