(Boston, MA) — Massachusetts veterans have been honored with a ceremony at the State House. Monday Governor Patrick thanked veterans and members of the military for their sacrifices. Gold Star families were honored with bouquets of roses. Veterans Secretary Coleman Nee read the names of nine Massachusetts soldiers who died in Operation Desert Storm. He said many veterans of that conflict continue to suffer from mysterious illnesses.
