(Gill, MA) – A 28-year-old woman is dead following a multi-car crash Saturday night in Gill. Theresa Pendleton of Erving was killed when her 2010 Honda Fit collided with another vehicle. The accident occurred shortly before eight after a snow squall created near blizzard conditions and icy roads. The crash forced partial closure of Route 2 for close to two hours. Six other people were also injured in that accident–one of dozens reported in a three-hour span which saw parts of Route 5 and 10 and Routes 122 and 202 closed to through traffic.
The plan, which also mandates a shift to renewable energy from coal-fired electricity, is meant to put the U.S. in a strong position at international talks in Paris later this year on reaching a deal to curb global warming.
