Women Rescued on Mt. Tom Thanks to GPS

5.24.13

Area police used GPS technology to help rescue a pair of female hikers who became lost while hiking on Mount Tom yesterday. A call came in from one of the hiker’s cell phones yesterday afternoon reporting that they had become lost along the Holyoke side of the rangs. Police used the GPS on the hiker’s phone to help guide them to state troopers, who then drove them back to their parked car.
