Rocker Jack White has come up with a novel way of making sure Nashville natives get well fed this Thanksgiving by offering up exclusive tracks to people bearing gifts.

The former White Stripes star and his partners at Third Man Records are offering free music in return for donations of turkeys and canned goods for the poor.

Announcing the food drive on his label’s website, White posts, “This time of year it’s always important to remember those in less fortunate situations than ourselves, and Third Man is no exception.

“For many reasons we absolutely love our neighborhood. From day one, everyone in our corner of Nashville has been extremely welcoming and hospitable to us, as well as tolerant of our many crazy schemes, long lines, late night shows, weekend block orientated functions.”

All donations will be handed to staff at the Nashville Rescue Mission, who host an annual Thanksgiving banquet.
