(Springfield, MA) — The former director of the Hallmark School of Photography in Turners Falls has pleaded guilty to federal charges. Prosecutors say George Rosa the Third of Conway spent two-and-a-half million of the institute’s funds for his own purposes. In doing so he defrauded the Peoples United Bank and filed false tax returns with the federal government. Rosa will be sentenced on May 29th.
The plan, which also mandates a shift to renewable energy from coal-fired electricity, is meant to put the U.S. in a strong position at international talks in Paris later this year on reaching a deal to curb global warming.
