(Franklin County, MA) – State officials say it is entirely possible that Franklin County will eventually house a medical marijuana dispensary. The first 20 licenses issued this past Friday contained none for Franklin or Berkshire counties. A second round of licenses is expected to be released later this year. Hampshire County gets one state license awarded to New England Treatment Access Inc. That company will open a dispensary at the old Pro Corp manufacturing plant in Florence. Executive Director Kevin Fisher says they plan to open as soon as possible.
