(Northampton, MA) – Northampton police are investigating the burning of an Israeli flag at a city synagogue.  Police say the flag was burned Wednesday afternoon, and appears to be the result of a direct flame applied to it.  Rabbi Justin David of Congregation B’nai Israel calls the incident disturbing.  He suggests the vandalism may be the result of someone not happy with Israel’s role in the war in Gaza.
