(Holyoke, MA)  —  Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey says a three-step approach is needed to deal with the heroin crisis in Western Mass.  Speaking at the Holyoke Health Center Friday, Markey called for more treatment centers, greater access to the anti-overdose drug Narcan, and expedited FDA approval of medications to treat addiction.  Markey’s speech came after a roundtable discussion involving health care providers, law enforcement and elected officials.
