(Northampton, MA) – Northampton’s mayor now has the green light to negotiate a shared vehicle services agreement with the Zipcar Corporation. The Northampton City Council Thursday night gave final approval to an ordinance allowing Mayor David Narkewicz to move forward with the negotiation, which he realizes does not sit well with some councilors.¬†Among the concerns raised was the section of the agreement granting Zipcar ownership of as many as six spaces in the E. John Gare Parking Garage.
