(Northampton, MA) -¬†Laywers for murder suspect Cara Rintala want the charges against her dismissed. Rintala has already been tried twice on charges of killing her wife in their Granby home four years ago. Both trials ended with hung juries, and prosecutors are vowing to bring the case back to trial a third time. The defense says it’s time for the DA’s office to call it quits…but the prosecution disagrees and says it will oppose the dismissal.
