(Springfield, MA) – Northwestern assistant DA Brett Vottero has been endorsed by the Springfield police union in his run for Hampden District Attorney. The announcement was made at a rally on the steps of the Hampden County Courthouse Thursday. With all four running as Democrats, the decision will be made at the September 9 primary. Vottero was the lead prosecutor on the arson and murder trial of Anthony Baye in Northampton.
