Springfield Cops Endorse Vottero For DA

(Springfield, MA)  –  Northwestern assistant DA Brett Vottero has been endorsed by the Springfield police union in his run for Hampden District Attorney. The announcement was made at a rally on the steps of the Hampden County Courthouse Thursday. The career prosecutor is up against Holyoke lawyer Shawn Allyn, Longmeadow attorney Hal Etkin, and Hampden ADA Anthony Gullini. With all four running as Democrats, the decision will be made at the September 9 primary. Vottero was the lead prosecutor on the arson and murder trial of Anthony Baye in Northampton.
