Task Force Arrest Nets 100 Grams of Heroin

(Athol, MA) – Another 100 grams of heroin is off local streets following a drug trafficking arrest Wednesday in Athol.  The Northwestern DA’s office reports the Anti-Crime Task Force yesterday arrested 52-year old Julio Morales of Lawrence shortly before 6 p.m.  Morales was intercepted while trying to deliver the heroin with a street value of $65,000.  He had recently been released from state prison after serving a 7 to 9 year sentence for similar drug charges.
