Woman Smuggles Heroin To Jailed Boyfriend

(Northampton, MA)  —  A West Springfield woman is accused of smuggling heroin to her boyfriend at the Hampshire County House of Corrections. 35-year-old Autumn Rankin pleaded not guilty Monday to possession, delivering drugs to a prisoner and a conspiracy charge.  At a March 1 jail visit she allegedly put a package of heroin in her mouth and passed it to Anthony Tangredi during a kiss. Rankin was issued a trespass order from the jail and is due back in court on June 9.
