Jerry O'Connell to play Herman Munster
Actor Jerry O'Connell has landed the coveted role of Herman Munster in a remake of classic TV series "The Munsters."
The "Stand By Me" star will lead the cast of Mockingbird Lane, according to Internet reports.
Fred Gwynne played the Frankenstein-esque character in the beloved sitcom.
O'Connell joins Eddie Izzard, Charity Wakefield and Mason Cook on the cast. The family's vampire matriarch, Lily, has not yet been cast.
