New Deerfield Police Chief John Paciorek Junior says he does not believe a last minute campaign to deny him that job will impact his ability to manage the department.  Paciorek says he admitted to past mistakes, but he's learned from them.  Deerfield Selectmen received a series of anonymous letters urging them not to hire Paciorek because of alleged past problems during his tenure as Erving Police Chief.  The board instead voted unanimously to offer Paciorek the job, pending the completion of a successful contract negotiation and background check.
