Northwestern D.A. David Sullivan told Northampton residents last night that his case against accused arsonist Anthony Baye is strong, even without a videotaped confession. Baye is accused of setting 15 fires and killing two men on a December night in 2009. And under a new grand jury indictment, Baye is accused of setting fires as fast back as 2007. Sullivan sought the new indictment after the yhoung restaurant cook's taped police interrogation was ruled inadmissable by the state's highest court. The D.A. says no trial date has been set yet, but when it does happen, the jury will be chosen from among residents of Hampden, not Hampshire County.
