Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Bynes offered free driving lessons

Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes have been offered a course of free driving lessons after they both suffered high-profile traffic troubles.

The Mean Girls star was arrested in New York in the early hours of Wednesday morning after she allegedly clipped a pedestrian with her Porsche, while Bynes is preparing to go on trial in Los Angeles on charges of DUI and hit-and-run following several brushes with the law this year.

Bosses at tire company Goodyear have now written to both actresses to offer them a course of free driving lessons to avoid any future mishaps.

In the correspondence, obtained by TMZ.com, Goodyear staff offer to fly the stars out to the company headquarters in Akron, Ohio for private one-on-one lessons with a professional driver, writing, "We're sorry to hear about your latest driving mishap. We understand that you've struggled behind the wheel before and that driving can be a real challenge... We're concerned for your safety and the safety of those who hit the road each day, and we'd like to help out any way we can."

They even offered to give the actresses' cars a thorough inspection and replace the tires. (LR/WNWCZM/ZN)
