Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray has announced a $1.4 million federal grant for veterans' services state-wide.  In an announcement at the Clarion Hotel in Northampton, Murray announced the grant to fund a new comprehensive plan to serve the needs of its veterans.  Soldier On President John Downing says on any given night, there are up to 800 homeless vets in Western Mass.   Northampton Veterrans' Agent Steve Connor says there are problems unique to the four western counties, including trouble getting vets in rural areas to services in cities and towns.
