Stagehands and the Iron Horse Entertainment Group are at loggerheads. The workers say owner Eric Suher pays them 40 percent less than stagehands at CityStage, the Mullins Center and the Academy of Music. Suher says the other venues are subsidized by public money or donations, and there's no way he could pay wages at that level and stay in business. Last year, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees won the right to represent the workers at Pearl Street, the Iron Horse, the Calvin Theater, and Mountain Park.
