Congressman Jim McGovern will hold a public forum Monday night in Northampton urging voters to support a ballot question.  The so-called "Budget for All" nonbinding question will be on the November ballot in dozens of Massachusetts towns including Northampton.  It asks voters if they support more taxes for the wealthy, cuts in military spending, and protection for Social Security and Medicare.  The question also calls for an immediate end to the war in Afghanistan.  The event is at 7 p.m.. at Northampton High School.
